The word deliverance is used extensively in the church in a variety of contexts. The word deliverance is found only two times in the New Testament and references the physical release from bondage or captivity. The word of God is clear on the meaning of deliverance as defined in (Mark 16:17) where Jesus drove out or called out demonic spirits. So, the definition of deliverance is to call out and drive out demonic powers by the supernatural power of God. Deliverance can set people free from every type of bondage, including anxiety, fear, panic attacks, depression, anger, infirmities, lust, addictions, eating disorders, pornography, perversions, suicidal torment, and other strongholds. Whatever the issue, we apply biblical truths and most importantly, the power of God to set people free.
